Kyllä on. Vaihdoin post_text-kentän tyypin mediumtext:stä text:ksi ja loin SQL-lauseessa mainitut kokoteksti-indeksit. Post_text-kentän aakkosjärjestykseksi ei kelpaa phpBB:n haluama utf8_unicode_ci...

Kuuluuko tuo toisen arvon (katso liite) olla tyhjä?

Meillä näyttäs olevan samalla tavalla. Native käytössä ja ylemmässä vain toisessa arvo. Tuonhan voi sen toisen indexin, joka ei ole käytössä, poistaa kokonaan.
Vaikka sen ottaisikin käyttöön jossain vaiheessa, niin sen joutuu rakentamaan uusiksi, koska siihen ei tällähetkellä päivitetä uusia viestejä.

The information I used to configure search to perform best is above. We have the basic phpBB 3.0 installation requirements of MySQL 3.23 or above. Search will work with either phpBB's native functionality or MySQL's functionality as long as the MySQL 3.23 minimum requirement is met. However, from a performance standpoint, AJD's recommendations apply, as they did for the OP. AJD was quite specific about his recommendations regarding search, which are as follows:

• For MySQL 4.1.7 or above MySQL fulltext is recommended.
• For all MySQL versions below 4.1.7, Native fulltext is recommended.
